All editions are designed around local workspace data. Your opportunities, outreach, resumes, notes, attachments, and sourcing history are not stored in an Aspectium cloud database.
If a Microsoft Store subscription ends, your existing data is not deleted. You can still view, edit, search, back up, restore, archive, and delete existing records. Creating new opportunities, resumes, channels, and sourcing sessions requires an active trial or subscription.

Your job-search data stays on your device.

Opportunity Workspace is designed so your job-search records are stored locally, not in an Aspectium cloud database. Signing in does not upload your opportunities, outreach, resumes, notes, attachments, or sourcing history.

No required account for core features

Create and manage opportunities, outreach, resumes, notes, sourcing sessions, local records, backups, and restores without signing in.

No Aspectium cloud database

Your workspace data is stored in your browser or desktop app, depending on the edition you use.

Sign-in is limited

The account is used for limited online services such as AI-assisted import and account/session actions. Signing in does not move your workspace data to Aspectium servers.

AI sends selected content only

When you use AI import, the selected job-posting text needed for that request is sent for processing. Your full workspace data is not sent.

See every opportunity in context.

Keep status, company context, due dates, highlights and concerns, waiting state, sources, links, notes, transcript attachments, job descriptions, shared or targeted resume usage, application records, cover letters, and supporting documents tied to the right opportunity.

Pipeline board

Move opportunities through Interested, Researching, Applied, and Interviewing as your search progresses. Desktop Focused view expands one column for concentrated review.

List view

Filter and sort opportunities from their column headers when you need a more detailed review.

Insights

Review issues that need attention, recent outcomes, and pipeline health.

Opportunity details

Keep application dates, resume choices, notes, transcript attachments, links, job description text, and supporting files together. Desktop Previous and Next controls keep you moving through the collection you are reviewing.

Keep direct outreach separate until it becomes an opportunity.

Record emails, calls, messages, and other conversations with employers or recruiters without creating an opportunity too early. Add conversation entries and links as the exchange develops, then convert a promising lead when it is ready to track.

Conversation history

Keep dated conversation entries together, with notes and optional file or link attachments for each exchange.

Clear outcomes

Review active outreach awaiting a response, then close records as rejected, ghosted, expired, or discarded when appropriate.

Convert when ready

Create a preliminary opportunity from a promising outreach record. Its conversation history and external links are carried over automatically.

Keep shared and targeted resumes connected to the opportunities that used them.

When you target resumes for different roles, it is easy to lose track of what you sent where. Opportunity Workspace lets you maintain reusable shared resume records, create opportunity-specific targeted resumes, and keep application materials close to the application record.
  • Shared resume records with version name, date, description, file, and/or URL
  • Targeted opportunity-specific resumes attached to opportunities
  • Opportunity links showing where a shared resume was used
  • Application record, cover letter, and document attachments on opportunity records
  • Notes and transcripts with optional file/link attachments
  • Archive and restore support for old resume versions

Build a sourcing system, not just an application list.

Opportunity Workspace treats sourcing as its own workflow. Record where you searched, save one or more search queries, record what you found, and know when it is time to search again.

Active searches

Group open searches by query set or channel, see how long it has been since the last session, and restart a search with context already filled in.

Sourcing history

Review completed searches by time period, filter past sessions, and keep search queries, notes, and results available.

Channels

Manage job boards, company career pages, professional communities, cold outreach, personal network sources, consulting prospects, and other source types. Supported job boards may also show search-syntax guidance.

Use AI to speed up intake, then review before saving.

Paste a job posting, analyze it, review the structured draft, make edits, and import it into an opportunity record. AI helps reduce manual entry, but you stay in control of what gets saved.
AI-assisted import is optional. Sign-in is required for AI analysis. When you use it, the selected job-posting text is sent for processing. Your full workspace data is not sent.
AI usage is currently included at no extra charge for a limited time, with usage limits.

Back up your search before you need it.

Opportunity Workspace includes backup and restore tools so you can protect your data or move it between supported editions. The desktop app also makes daily backups automatically. Restoring a backup overwrites the current app data in the current browser or desktop app, so backups should be handled carefully.
  • Web backup is available in the browser edition.
  • Desktop backup is available in the desktop app, including daily automatic backups that keep the newest 30 archives.
  • Backup files are stored locally.
  • Restore validates the backup format before applying it.
  • Backup and restore are the supported way to move data between supported editions.

Built to grow beyond basic tracking.

Opportunity Workspace is designed as a broader local-data workspace for managing the work around opportunities: tracking leads, organizing materials, managing sourcing, and preparing more targeted applications over time.

Common questions

For setup, trial, backup, restore, and troubleshooting details, see the Opportunity Workspace Help page.
Is my workspace data stored in the cloud?
No. Your opportunities, outreach records, resumes, notes, attachments, and sourcing history are stored locally in your browser or desktop app, depending on the edition you use. Signing in does not upload your workspace data.
Do I need an account?
No account is required for core features. Sign-in is used for limited online services such as AI-assisted import and account/session actions.
What is the difference between web and desktop?
Web App stores data locally in your browser and supports up to 10 open opportunities and 5 open outreach records, including demo records. Desktop editions store data locally on your device, have no open-record limits, and add Save Posting, in-app document creation, Focused view, and Previous/Next navigation.
What happens if my Windows Desktop Subscription ends?
Your existing data is not deleted. You can still view, edit, search, back up, restore, archive, and delete existing records. Creating new opportunities, resumes, channels, and sourcing sessions requires an active trial or subscription.
Is the Desktop License available now?
Yes. You can buy one Desktop License from the Aspectium Store and use it on every supported platform. Windows and Linux are available; macOS is planned.
What does AI import send for processing?
AI import sends the selected job-posting text needed for the request. Your full workspace data is not sent.
Does the desktop app create automatic backups?
Yes. Automatic backups are enabled by default and create a local ZIP archive each day while the desktop app is running. The app keeps the newest 30 automatic backup files, and you can still create manual backups whenever you want.

Bring order to your search before details start slipping.
